Job Summary
The Junior Web Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving company websites and e-commerce platforms. The role requires knowledge of various web development technologies, content management systems, and e-commerce tools to ensure website functionality, performance, security, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update websites using WordPress and other web development technologies.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.
- Build and modify website layouts using Elementor.
- Manage and maintain e-commerce websites using WooCommerce and Shopify.
- Update product listings, pricing, product descriptions, and other online store content.
- Assist in integrating and maintaining payment gateways, including PayMongo.
- Troubleshoot website errors, bugs, and technical issues.
- Ensure website responsiveness, compatibility across browsers, and optimal performance.
- Implement website enhancements based on business and user requirements.
- Perform regular website maintenance, updates, and basic security checks.
- Collaborate with the IT, marketing, and e-commerce teams on website development projects.
- Monitor website functionality and ensure a smooth online shopping experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledgeable in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and AJAX.
- Familiarity with Elementor for website design and customization.
- Knowledge or experience in WooCommerce and Shopify for e-commerce website management.
- Familiarity with PayMongo payment gateway integration is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of website hosting, domain management, databases, and API integration.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies.
- Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge or project experience are welcome to apply.
