Role Overview
We are looking for a strong Commodities Research professional with expertise across Precious Metals and Base Metals to develop market views, forecasts and actionable insights supporting trading, sales and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth fundamental and technical research across Gold, Silver and key Base Metals such as Aluminium, Copper, Zinc, Nickel and Lead.
- Track global macroeconomic indicators, interest rates, currencies, inflation, central bank policies, geopolitical developments and their impact on metals.
- Analyse global supply-demand dynamics, production, inventories, trade flows, consumption trends and market positioning.
- Track and analyse MCX, COMEX, LME and LBMA markets and identify emerging opportunities.
- Develop independent market views, price forecasts, thematic research and actionable trade ideas.
- Prepare daily/weekly market reports, research notes and timely market updates for internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with Trading, Sales, Bullion and Business teams to translate research into actionable commercial and trading opportunities.
- Monitor global data releases, industry developments and company/commodity-specific factors impacting metals markets.
- Develop research models, analytical frameworks and proprietary insights to enhance the organisation's commodities capabilities.
- Present market outlooks and research views to senior management and business teams.
Ideal Candidate
- 5–10 years of experience in Commodities Research, preferably covering both Precious and Base Metals.
- Strong understanding of Gold, Silver, Copper, Aluminium and other key metals markets.
- Hands-on knowledge of MCX, LME, COMEX and LBMA.
- Strong understanding of global commodity markets, macroeconomics and supply-demand fundamentals.
- Experience working closely with traders, dealers, institutional clients or commodity businesses preferred.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, research and communication skills.
- Ability to develop independent views and convert research into actionable trading/business insights.
Key Requirement:
The candidate should be a market-driven researcher, not only a report writer, with the ability to form independent views, identify market opportunities and provide actionable insights to the Trading and Business teams.
