Reporting to the Plant Manager, the **Maintenance and Technical Services Manager** is responsible for the overall performance of maintenance, engineering, and technical services activities.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic leader to ensure equipment reliability, facility performance, and effective support for manufacturing operations, while meeting health and safety, quality, cost, and productivity objectives.

This role contributes to ABB Canada’s **Electrification, Installation Products** division and is based in **Pointe\-Claire, Quebec**.

The work model for this role is **100% on\-site**.

**Responsibilities**

* Define and deploy the maintenance strategy (preventive, corrective, and predictive) to ensure equipment availability and reliability. * Plan, organize, and optimize the activities of the maintenance and technical services department. * Provide leadership to teams of supervisors, engineers, and technicians, while developing internal capabilities and technical expertise. * Support manufacturing operations (assembly, packaging, and plastic injection molding) in resolving critical technical issues. * Manage budgets, capital investments, and technology improvement projects. * Collaborate with engineering teams on the implementation of new equipment and manufacturing processes. * Ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental standards. * Actively participate in the plant leadership team and contribute to strategic decision\-making. * Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor departmental performance against targets.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or a related discipline). * Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including several years in a leadership role. * Bilingual French\-English. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec. * Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and major industrial projects. * Experience in machine fleet optimization and automation initiatives. * Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, Six Sigma). * Experience in plastic injection molding is considered an asset. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. * Results\-oriented mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement. * Excellent communication and change management skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a transforming and fast\-paced environment. * Strong analytical thinking and solution\-oriented approach.
