Position : MEP Engineer (Construction)

Duties and Responsibilities
Job Requirements:
- Plan, supervise, and monitor Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installation works (HVAC, fire protection, ELV, power distribution, piping, and drainage systems) to ensure execution strictly aligns with technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) teams, sub-contractors, and site teams to manage spatial clearances and prevent services/clashing issues on site.
- Review and monitor MEP technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), shop drawings, builder's work requirement drawings, method statements (MOS), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and equipment submittals.
- Oversee testing and commissioning (T&C) of all MEP plant, systems, and equipment, ensuring full functionality and compliance before handover.
- Monitor project progress, installation quality (QA/QC), electrical/mechanical safety, and compliance with national engineering codes (e.g., ST, Bomba, Suruhanjaya Tenaga) and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical engineering issues, site space constraints, and equipment installation conflicts in a timely manner.
- Conduct site inspections, material inspections, load testing, and factory acceptance tests (FAT) where required to ensure works meet approved standards.
- Prepare and review MEP technical reports, system inspection checklists, testing logs, and project progress reports.
- Ensure full compliance with Company and Project ISO & QSHE requirements (including electrical safety and hazardous work procedures).
- Guide and supervise junior MEP engineers, site supervisors, and MEP subcontractors on site.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant site experience in Mechanical and Electrical engineering execution for construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC (chillers/AHUs/CRACs), high/low voltage electrical systems, fire protection, plumbing/sanitary systems, and reading MEP layout/schematic drawings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, MS Office, and relevant MEP calculation software.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and site coordination skills.
- Able to coordinate effectively with civil/structural teams and manage multiple specialized MEP subcontractors.
- Able to work independently and make sound technical decisions regarding system installations.
- Experience in complex facility construction, high-tech manufacturing, or data center projects is a strong added advantage.
Working Days: Monday - Saturday (8.00am to 5.00pm)
