We have an opportunity in ACG Capsule / ACG Engineering / ACG Pharma Packaging / ACG Inspection of a Manager - Environment and Sustainability, Central, ACG Capsules.

Job Objective

Set the vision and lead ACG Capsules Environment & Sustainability (E&S) management activities with respect to the compliance as per local/central legal obligations and company requirements like Environment monitoring system, Energy management and climate impact mitigation.

Driving the enterprise with subject matter expertise on operation and maintenance of water & wastewater treatment facility and other environment facilities like Air Pollution Control Devices, Hazardous waste yard

Primary responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert (SME):

Review plans to improve the Water & Wastewater treatment Plant performance and support plant team in troubleshooting exercises.
Guide the plant team in understanding the process engineering specifications including the various stagewise treatments of water & Effluent process, optimization & support.
Generate MIS (management information system) on Environmental KPI, Audit CAR, EPM, Energy and Renewable energy data.
Act as the management representative in the Environment management system (ISO 14001:2015) and Energy Management System (ISO 50001:2018).
Drive the company’s Sustainability goals and initiatives.
Develop strategy plans for achieving the sustainability goals including renewable energy induction, energy reduction, water neutrality, waste circularity improvement, reducing carbon footprint and biodiversity conservation in a period of next 10 years.
Periodically support corporate Sustainability/CSR team preparation of the annual sustainability/ESG report.
Lead and coordinate in external sustainability assessment like EcoVadis, ESG indices…etc Quality
Ensure proper running of Water & Wastewater treatment Plant with greater stress on quality, safety, and housekeeping.
Coordinate with Plat team for any deviation in quality parameters in plant & to take appropriate action if any deviation observed.
Perform Process & Hydraulic calculations & its optimization for water consumption across the plant & recycling the water.
Ensure consistent discharge of treated effluent within prescribed norms and trouble-free running of all equipment.

Capability development:

Conduct awareness day celebration like World Environment Day, Ozone Day, Earth Day, Water Day…etc.
Drive Rewards and Recognition to develop environment awareness among the workforces.

Communication:

Rapport building with various stakeholders in around the neighbourhood for driving various initiatives.
Liaison with Government and statutory authority. (State and central government)
Handles matters related to reporting and investigation of environment incidents or accidents (both internal & external as per matrix).

Documentation

Monthly compilation of compliance status to the consent/permits and authorization and performance of the ETP/TRO/ZLD/STP and hazardous wastes.
Integrated management System (IMS) and ESG/Sustainability documentation.

Monitor and review:

Legal compliance tracker review and counter measures for the gaps identified on monthly basis.
Management Information System (MIS): KPI – leading & lagging indicator of E&S function on monthly basis and present to the top management.

Inspection & Audit:

Conduct various E&S inspection and various audits like due diligence, Internal Audit.
Water consumption audit as per the standard requirement and plan for improvement.
Internal Audit for Environment Management System (EMS- ISO 14001:2015).

Achieve 90% reduction of GHG emission (Scope 1 & 2) by year 2030.
Achieve 96% Landfill Free of waste (solid & liquid) by Year 2030.
