We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Engineer to support product engineering activities, BOM management, and engineering change control.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate product information in the ERP system, managing Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support product changes and production requirements. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
BOM Preparation & Management
- Create, review, update, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) based on product specifications and engineering requirements.
- Ensure BOM information is accurate, complete, and properly documented.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to verify BOM changes and resolve discrepancies.
ERP System & Data Management
- Maintain product master data, BOM, routing, and other engineering-related information in the ERP system.
- Ensure engineering data is accurate and updated according to the latest approved changes.
- Support ERP data updates and resolve discrepancies related to product and engineering information.
Engineering Change Management
- Coordinate and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECN), including documentation, review, approval, and implementation.
- Ensure approved engineering changes are properly updated in the ERP system and relevant documents.
- Work with relevant departments to ensure smooth and timely implementation of product changes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Process Engineering (PE), New Product Introduction (NPI), Quality Assurance (QA), Planning, Production, and other relevant departments.
- Coordinate engineering changes and product-related requirements to support production activities.
- Ensure relevant departments receive timely updates on product specifications and engineering changes.
Product & Engineering Support
- Provide technical support for product-related issues, production concerns, and engineering changes.
- Assist in investigating product and engineering data discrepancies.
- Support engineering activities to ensure products meet the required specifications.
Data Management & Reporting
- Prepare regular engineering reports, including BOM status, ECN progress, and product change reports.
- Maintain proper engineering documentation and records.
- Provide relevant updates and reports to support management review and decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
- Support initiatives to improve engineering processes and data accuracy.
- Participate in cross-functional improvement activities when required.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
