About Ad-Wise

Ad-Wise is a Canadian advertising and marketing agency built around “The Wise & The Works.”

  • The Wise: senior strategists and creative directors who provide counsel, make decisions, and personally sign off on work.
  • The Works: the in-house production and engineering capability that delivers at speed, including AI-based systems tailored to a client’s brand and compliance needs.

AI made marketing knowledge cheap. It made wisdom expensive. That is the gap we sell into, wherever a wrong word costs real money, cannabis first, then pharma, finance, and anywhere else the rulebook runs long.

The Role

We are looking for a Junior Account Executive who wants to learn how great agency work gets made, inside an agency built for the future era.

As a Junior Account Executive, you will help translate client briefs into clear internal assignments, coordinate work across the Wise and the Works, keep projects moving, review deliverables for quality and accuracy, communicate with clients, and make sure the details do not get lost between the brief and the finished work.

This is an account management and marketing role for someone who is exceptionally organized, curious about AI, comfortable learning new technology, and excited about becoming a great agency operator.

What You'll Do

Client & Account Management

  • Support the day-to-day management of multiple client accounts.
  • Become deeply familiar with each client's business, customers, competitors, brand, and marketing priorities. Many of our clients sit in regulated categories, cannabis chief among them, so you will learn their category's rules alongside their brand.
  • Participate in client meetings, capture decisions, and translate conversations into clear next steps.
  • Respond to routine client questions and follow up on outstanding information, approvals, and deliverables.
  • Prepare agendas, reports, status updates, and other client communications.
  • Help Ad-Wise team anticipate what clients will need next.
  • Build trusted relationships by being responsive, prepared, accurate, and dependable.

Briefs & Project Coordination

  • Turn client requests and conversations into clear, actionable internal briefs.
  • Coordinate projects across Ad-Wise team, from brief through strategy, creation, review, approval, and delivery.
  • Maintain project timelines, priorities, responsibilities, and approval status.
  • Help maintain organized client knowledge bases containing brand standards, approved messaging, audience information, previous work, and other important context.
  • Follow up with internal contributors to keep work moving and flag risks before deadlines are affected.
  • Coordinate deliverables across the three pods, content, lead generation, and outreach, plus other channel work.
  • Ensure the right files, information, context, and approvals are available at each stage of a project.

Quality Assurance

Before work reaches a client, help make sure it is actually ready. This is the discipline behind what we call the Signature: nothing leaves Ad-Wise unsigned. A named senior person puts their approval on every asset, and early in your career here, you are part of how that happens.

You will review deliverables for:

  • Accuracy and factual correctness.
  • Alignment with the client brief.
  • Brand voice and messaging.
  • Spelling, grammar, and presentation.
  • Correct specifications, links, names, dates, and details.
  • Consistency across channels and campaign assets.
  • Compliance with client guidelines and approval requirements.
  • Obvious AI errors, unsupported claims, hallucinations, or generic output.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Gather campaign and channel performance data.
  • Help prepare monthly and campaign performance reports including data interpretation, pattern identification, and first-draft analysis.
  • Help translate metrics into clear explanations of what happened, why it matters, and what we should do next.
  • Participate in developing recommendations for future campaigns.

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience. Agency, marketing, communications, advertising, client service, startup, or internship experience is valuable. Strong recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional organization. You can keep track of multiple clients, deadlines, conversations, and deliverables without letting important details disappear.
  • Strong communication. You write clearly, speak professionally, and know how to communicate differently with a client, a colleague, or a founder.
  • Attention to detail. You notice the incorrect link, the inconsistent headline, the missing approval, the wrong date, or the unexplained number before the client does, and in a regulated category, that habit is the whole job.
  • Good judgment. You understand that AI output can be wrong and that speed does not replace accuracy. That instinct is most of what we mean when we say wise.
  • Ownership. When something is assigned to you, you follow it through rather than assuming someone else will catch what was missed.
  • Marketing curiosity. You want to understand why campaigns work, not simply complete tasks.
  • AI literacy & Comfort with technology. You already use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms and are comfortable experimenting with them. You do not need to be an AI expert. We care much more about whether you know how to think clearly, provide context, ask good questions, evaluate output, and keep learning.

Nice to Have

Experience with any of the following is useful, but not required:

  • ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini
  • Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Google Analytics 4
  • Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager
  • LinkedIn Campaign Manager
  • Email marketing platforms
  • CRM platforms
  • Social-media management tools
  • Project-management platforms
  • Lifecycle and marketing-ops platforms (for example, HubSpot or Marketo)
  • Generative image or video tools
  • Basic website or CMS management
  • Marketing analytics and reporting
  • Familiarity with cannabis, pharma, finance, or another regulated industry

We care more about your ability to learn than whether you already know our exact technology stack.

Education

A degree or diploma in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related discipline is welcome.

Equivalent experience, a strong portfolio of work, or demonstrated marketing capability will also be considered.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 3 months

You understand our clients, agency workflows, and quality standards. You can confidently manage routine project coordination, meeting follow-ups, and straightforward client requests with supervision.

Within 6 months

You are independently coordinating significant portions of client accounts, preparing strong briefs, catching issues before they become problems, and working effectively with Ad-Wise.

Within 12 months

You are becoming a trusted client-services professional who can take ownership of smaller projects and campaigns, contribute useful marketing recommendations.

The Kind of Person Who Will Thrive Here

You will probably enjoy this role if you:

  • Are naturally curious and regularly try new AI tools without being told to.
  • Like being the person who knows what is happening across a project.
  • Enjoy both people and technology.
  • Ask questions when something does not make sense.
  • Care about the quality of the final product, not just completing your part.
  • Can move quickly without becoming careless.
  • Want responsibility early in your career.
  • Spot what needs attention, bring forward ideas, and move the work ahead without waiting to be asked.
  • Are comfortable working in an environment where tools and workflows continuously evolve.

This role may be less suitable if you are looking for a narrowly defined position where the same processes and responsibilities remain unchanged for years.

Why Join Us

You will learn agency account management inside a shop built for where marketing is going, not where it has been.

Instead of spending your first years on repetitive admin work, you will learn to route tasks to the team so your own time goes toward the skills a machine still cannot do: judgment, communication, strategic thinking, creativity, client understanding, and leadership.

You will work alongside senior strategists and creative directors, the Wise, while learning how a modern agency pairs human expertise with the Works to solve a client's real problem.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Hybrid working environment, typically 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
  • Ongoing professional development and AI learning opportunities.
  • Direct exposure to our founding team and to client decision-makers. We are small enough that you will be in the room, not down the hall from it.
  • A clear path toward Account Executive and Account Manager responsibilities.
  • An environment where experimentation, curiosity, and better ways of working are encouraged.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off
