About the role
We, the R&D Department Humanoids at Agile Robots SE, are seeking driven Engineering Students as working Students or Interns (at least for six months) with proven hands-on experience, preferably in the field of robotics. You will support the mechanical engineers in the humanoid R&D department in developing real-world, high-DOF humanoid robotic systems. We are searching for on-site support in our lab in Munich for multiple fields and focus areas like gripper/hand development, system identification, control application, and hardware design.
We are thrilled to know which of these topics you find most interesting to work on. Please make sure to specify and explain your favorite topic in your application
Your Responsibilities
- Create concepts and prototypes using rapid Prototyping methods (e.g., 3D printing)
- Development of new or existing prototype iterations to reach production level (CAD models, technical drawings, and assembly documentation)
- Assembly of prototypes and humanoid robot sub-assemblies
- Investigating the behavior of prototypes and assemblies to assess and meet performance and durability requirements(using virtual environments (FEM, MuJoCo), or available physical systems)
- Research State of the Art for relevant topics
Essential Skills
- Enrollment: Currently enrolledpreferablyin amaster’sprogram(E.g. mechanical engineering, robotics or electrical engineering)
- CAD design experience, preferably in SolidWorks
- Profound engineering knowledge for design principles
- Hands-on experience with complex systems and DIY projects
- Work autonomously on open-ended, evolving tasks
- Self-motivated, reliable, and solution-oriented mindset
