About us
We build Shiv, a citizen-reporting and governance platform being rolled out with district police and government departments in Maharashtra. Every report comes in as a photo, video or call, and our AI turns it into a case an officer can act on.
What you will do
- Build and improve the AI pipeline that reads every report: number plates, faces (blurred for privacy), photos of screens or printouts, video and audio, and short descriptions in Marathi, Hindi and English.
- Work with vision-language model APIs (Anthropic Claude) together with OpenCV, ONNX and ffmpeg, in Python and FastAPI.
- Keep a labelled test set and measure every change before it ships.
- Make it accurate on Indian roads: night photos, rain, two-wheelers, non-standard number plates.
- Protect people's privacy: face blurring, no face identification, careful handling of citizen data.
What we look for
- Experience: 0+ years. Freshers with computer vision or machine learning projects (on GitHub or Kaggle) are welcome.
- Strong Python, OpenCV, and PyTorch or ONNX basics.
- Interest in LLM and vision-language model APIs, and the discipline to measure results instead of guessing.
Good to have
- Number plate OCR, face detection models, Whisper (speech to text), FastAPI.
Location and work mode
Mumbai first, then Pune. Hybrid: office and work from home.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
