American Garden Apple Inc. is looking for a part-time / contract AI Full Stack Software Engineer to take over, evaluate, and improve an existing AI packaging design platform. The platform is already live and partially developed, and we are seeking someone who can become a long-term technical partner.
Responsibilities
- Review the existing codebase and system architecture.
- Assess code quality, technical risks, and whether any areas should be refactored.
- Develop and optimize AI-powered packaging design features.
- Integrate OpenAI APIs and other AI services.
- Support ongoing platform development, maintenance, and technical planning.

- React and Next.js
- Python
- OpenAI API and AI application development
- PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Git and GitHub
- Full-stack development and ownership of complete software projects
How we work
1. Paid technical assessment: Spend several hours learning the existing project and provide an assessment covering takeover feasibility, code quality, architecture issues, recommended improvements, timeline, and estimated cost.
2. Trial project: Complete one agreed feature module so both sides can evaluate technical ability, communication, and work quality.
3. Long-term collaboration: Continue maintaining and developing the platform if the trial goes well.
Schedule and compensation
- Approximately 10–20 hours per week initially, depending on project needs.
- $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience and assessment results.
