DATARA Inc. is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic AI/ML Engineer to join our Property Management System development team. The selected candidate will contribute to building intelligent, data-driven features that improve property operations, automate workflows, and enhance the user experience for property managers, owners, tenants, and maintenance teams.
Job Summary
The AI/ML Engineer will assist in designing, developing, testing, and integrating AI/ML solutions for our Property Management System. This role is suitable for entry-level professionals with a strong foundation in Python, machine learning, data processing, and problem-solving.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and test machine learning models for property management business use cases.
- Assist in building predictive models for rent forecasting, occupancy analysis, maintenance prediction, and property performance insights.
- Clean, preprocess, validate, and analyze property-related datasets.
- Build data-driven insights and intelligent features for dashboards and reports.
- Explore Generative AI and LLM-based features for property document summarization, knowledge search, and tenant support assistance.
- Assist in developing AI-powered workflows for maintenance request classification and prioritization.
- Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and testing methodologies.
- Integrate ML models with backend services and application APIs.
- Collaborate with Backend Developers, Data Engineers, QA Engineers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
- Maintain technical documentation, model evaluation reports, and code repositories.
- Follow data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Good understanding of Python programming.
- Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistics.
- Familiarity with NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, data cleaning, and exploratory data analysis.
- Understanding of model training, testing, validation, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with Git and Jupiter Notebook.
- Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Basic understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and embeddings.
- Familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or REST APIs.
- Exposure to data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries.
- Academic projects, internships, or GitHub projects related to AI/ML.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical skills.
Experience
0–2 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals and practical project experience are encouraged to apply.
