Job Overview
Awexome Labs is seeking an AI Software Developer to help design, build, test, and maintain intelligent software applications. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI technologies.
The developer will collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into useful, scalable applications while maintaining code quality, performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications that incorporate AI capabilities.
- Build backend services and APIs that connect AI models with web and mobile applications.
- Integrate large language models and third-party AI services into existing software systems.
- Develop AI-powered features such as intelligent search, content generation, summarization, and workflow automation.
- Use Python or other suitable programming languages to implement application logic.
- Design data processing workflows and integrate databases with AI-enabled applications.
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, relevance, consistency, and reliability.
- Implement appropriate validation, error handling, and safeguards for AI-generated results.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and develop automated tests.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow software development best practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python or another modern programming language.
- Strong understanding of software engineering, data structures, APIs, and application architecture.
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or machine learning applications.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON and databases.
- Understanding of Git, software testing, debugging, and version control.
- Ability to evaluate technical problems and develop practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with AI frameworks or libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms and using CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of automated testing, application monitoring, and production debugging.
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices, data privacy, and model evaluation.
- Experience delivering AI-enabled features in production software environments.
