Performance Test Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in performance engineering, automation, Google cloud platform, JMeter, Datadog, and hands-on understanding of the healthcare domain (PACS, RIS, HIS, DICOM workflows, medical imaging systems, HIPAA compliance basics).
The engineer will design and execute performance testing strategies for healthcare applications that require high reliability, security, and speed.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Performance Testing
- Design and execute load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability tests for healthcare applications.
- Develop and maintain JMeter scripts/Test Complete scripts/ Selenium scripts for APIs, web apps, and healthcare protocols (including WADO-RS, WADO-URI, FHIR, DICOM REST if applicable).
- Build workload models reflecting real hospital workflows such as image retrieval, order creation, reporting workflows, viewer performance, etc.
- Perform root cause analysis for bottlenecks in PACS/RIS/HIS systems.
Automation
- Create automation frameworks for performance test execution and reporting.
- Integrate performance tests with GitLabs.
Cloud (GCP)
- Use GCP services like Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring for tests for monitoring and Log analysis.
- Optimize infra setup to handle high-throughput imaging workflows.
Monitoring & Observability (Datadog)
- Configure Datadog APM, dashboards, alerts, SLO tracking.
- Correlate JMeter results with Datadog traces/logs to identify system bottlenecks.
Skills & Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- 4–5 years of experience in Performance Testing / Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter
- Practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on with Datadog APM, logs, dashboards
- Scripting skills: Test Complete, Selenium
- Deep understanding of API protocols: REST, HTTP, microservices
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software testing practices, including generating test cases, test data, and automation scripts using generative AI tools.
Soft Skills:
- S trong analytical and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work closely with developers, QA, DevOps.
- Excellent documentation and communication
