Role Summary

The Solar Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and performance optimization of residential, commercial, and industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems installed by Almiya Group. The technician ensures maximum system uptime, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop and ground\-mounted solar PV systems. * Inspect solar panels, inverters, AC/DC distribution boxes, cables, connectors, earthing systems, and mounting structures. * Clean solar panels and recommend cleaning schedules to maximize energy generation. * Diagnose and rectify faults in solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and monitoring systems. * Conduct electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools. * Monitor system performance through remote monitoring platforms and identify performance issues. * Replace defective components such as MC4 connectors, fuses, SPDs, MCBs, isolators, cables, and inverters. * Prepare service reports, maintenance checklists, and customer visit reports. * Coordinate with customers to schedule maintenance visits and resolve service complaints promptly. * Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company SOPs. * Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory. * Assist in commissioning and testing of newly installed solar systems when required.

Qualifications

* ITI (Electrician/Wireman) / Diploma in Electrical Engineering. * Certification in Solar PV Installation \& Maintenance is preferred. * 2–5 years of experience in Solar O\&M, Electrical Maintenance, or Renewable Energy projects. * Valid driving licence and willingness to travel across project locations.

Working Conditions

* Travel to customer sites across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other project locations. * Work at heights using appropriate safety equipment. * Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. * Availability for emergency breakdown support when required.
