Aloita Resort is looking for an experienced and hands-on Floor Captain to supervise restaurant floor operations, lead the service team, and deliver excellent guest dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily restaurant floor operations and ensure smooth service.
* Lead, coordinate, and supervise restaurant service staff during daily operations.
* Maintain high standards of food and beverage service, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
* Welcome guests, handle special requests, and resolve guest complaints professionally.
* Conduct daily staff briefings and assign duties and service sections.
* Monitor table arrangements, restaurant cleanliness, and presentation standards.
* Ensure proper food and beverage service according to established SOPs.
* Coordinate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely food delivery.
* Monitor staff grooming, discipline, attendance, and performance.
* Ensure accurate billing procedures and proper POS system operations.
* Promote upselling and support food and beverage promotions.
* Monitor guest feedback and report operational issues to the F&B Manager.
* Assist in training, coaching, and developing restaurant service staff.
* Ensure hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards are maintained.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth resort operations.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant operations, preferably as a Floor Captain, Restaurant Supervisor, or Senior Waiter.
* Experience in a hotel, resort, villa, or fine-dining restaurant is an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards and food and beverage operations.
* Good understanding of food and beverage service sequences and guest handling.
* Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
* Good command of English, both spoken and written.
* Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant billing procedures.
* Guest-oriented with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Able to lead a team, work independently, and perform under pressure.
* Hands-on, flexible, proactive, and resourceful.
* Comfortable working in a remote island environment.
