About the Role
We are seeking an organised and detail-focused Contracts Bid Writer to support the identification, development, submission, and management of public sector tenders and contracts across the Group.
Working closely with the wider organisation, you will coordinate high-quality bid submissions, oversee contract documentation, and help ensure compliance with procurement requirements and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and monitor relevant tender, framework, and procurement opportunities.
- Prepare, write, and coordinate high-quality tender submissions and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with colleagues across the organisation to gather information and ensure bid responses are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.
- Review tender requirements, contractual documentation, and supporting evidence to ensure quality and compliance.
- Produce summary reports and recommendations for senior leadership regarding tender opportunities and submissions.
- Maintain oversight of live contracts, including renewals, extensions, variations, and pricing updates.
- Provide clear handover information to operational, referrals, and compliance teams following successful contract awards.
- Maintain bid and contract records and keep up to date with procurement and sector developments.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in bid writing, tender management, contract administration, or a similar role.
- Excellent written, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience coordinating information from a range of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within social care, healthcare, education, housing, or another regulated sector.
- Experience working with public sector tenders, local authorities, or commissioning teams.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and the Procurement Act.
- Understanding of CQC, Ofsted, or other regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Business, English, Communications, Procurement, or a related field desirable.
- Professional qualifications in bid management, procurement, contract management, or project management would be advantageous.
