Job Summary
As a Grant Writer, you’ll research funding opportunities and develop clear, persuasive proposals that support nonprofit programs and community impact. You’ll coordinate submissions, manage grant records, and work with program and finance partners to present accurate, compelling cases for support. Your work will help connect funders with initiatives that serve communities.
Responsibilities
- Research grant funding opportunities from foundations and government agencies; assess alignment with program goals and submission requirements.
- Develop grant cases, proposals, and supporting materials, coordinating program details, budgets, and financial reports with relevant teams.
- Manage grant submissions, contracts, reporting schedules, and records in databases, including Raiser's Edge where applicable.
- Edit and proofread proposals and reports for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance.
- Your impact: Strong, timely proposals help nonprofit teams secure funding for programs and give funders a clear view of the communities their support can benefit.
Skills
- Strong writing skills, including grant proposal writing, persuasive writing, technical writing, and financial report writing; experience with content editing and proofreading.
- Research, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple submissions.
- Experience with databases and database management; familiarity with Raiser's Edge is useful.
- Knowledge of grant management, contract management, contracts, budgeting, program development, and strategic planning.
- Nonprofit foundation or community organization experience, fundraising, or fundraising experience within government agencies is preferred. Familiarity with grant funding research and grant submission is an asset.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
