Our analysts join client teams quickly, support their MLROs and help them keep transaction monitoring under control.
The role
We’re looking for a Transaction Monitoring Analyst with mid-level experience to work full-time on client engagements, under a B2B contract. You will:
- Review and close transaction monitoring alerts on time and to a high quality standard
- Investigate unusual activity using customer data, transaction patterns and open-source information
- Write clear, well-reasoned case narratives and decide whether to close or escalate
- Draft internal suspicious activity reports and prepare escalations for the client’s MLRO
- Spot new risks and typologies, and suggest improvements to monitoring rules and scenarios
- Work in the client’s systems and follow their procedures, with support and quality review from AMLSync
What you bring
- 1+ years of hands-on transaction monitoring or financial crime investigation experience at a bank, EMI, payment institution, fintech or crypto company
- Experience with at least one TM system, such as Actimize, SAS AML, Napier, ComplyAdvantage, Unit21, Hawk or Salv
- Solid knowledge of EU AML/CTF requirements and common money laundering typologies
- Experience raising internal SARs/STRs
- Fluent written and spoken English (B2 or higher)
- Self-employed status in your country of residence, or willingness to register (freelancer or own company)
- A reliable home office set-up, a secure internet connection and a strong sense of confidentiality
Nice to have
- Experience in crypto, card payments or gaming
- Knowledge of UK AML rules (MLRs, POCA)
- An AML certification (ICA, ACAMS or similar)
