A Junior Financial Analyst (Analista Financiero Jr.) is an entry-level position in the finance department, typically responsible for supporting senior analysts and finance managers in daily reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis. The core value of this role lies in "learning while doing"—building a solid foundation in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) through hands-on experience with Excel, financial systems, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Core Responsibilities

Junior financial analysts' work revolves around the "month-end closing—forecasting—reporting" cycle, with specific tasks including:

  • Month-End and Reporting Support: Prepare month-end flash reports, dashboards, and KPI packs; reconcile data consistency across systems; flag variances to supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budget and rolling forecast processes; collect and consolidate data from various departments; maintain and update financial models and trackers.
  • Data Analysis and Reconciliation: Perform trend analysis, expense variance analysis, and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and audit-readiness.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Interface with accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, and business departments to respond to routine financial inquiries and audit support requests.

Typical Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, or business analytics.
  • Experience: Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience, though some companies are open to fresh graduates with strong potential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic modeling) is mandatory; exposure to Power BI and Power Query is a plus. Some positions require understanding of financial statements and basic FP&A concepts (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).
  • Certifications: Some job postings explicitly require or prefer CPA, ACCA, or CFA candidates or those currently pursuing such certifications.
  • Soft Skills: Attention to detail, clear communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $7,876.00 - $21,576.00 per month
