About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Draftsperson to support the design, manufacture and installation of storage systems, racking structures, mezzanine floors and associated infrastructure projects.
This role is responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, plans and technical documentation while working closely with engineers, project managers and operational teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, layouts and technical documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Produce construction, fabrication, installation and as-built drawings for storage systems, racking structures, mezzanine floors and associated infrastructure projects.
- Prepare technical specifications, design documentation and engineering drafting details in accordance with project requirements.
- Interpret engineering calculations, specifications, site measurements and technical data for the preparation of accurate drawings and plans.
- Assist engineers and project managers with design development, drafting revisions and project modifications.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision controls and engineering document management systems.
- Conduct site measurements and collect technical information to support engineering designs and project delivery.
- Estimate material quantities and assist with project documentation and planning requirements.
- Review drawings and identify discrepancies, design conflicts or areas requiring amendment.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with Australian Standards, engineering principles, workplace safety requirements and project specifications.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers, clients, suppliers and installation teams to ensure project requirements are accurately documented and delivered.
- Assist with quality assurance activities and support continuous improvement of drafting and documentation processes.
- Promote the company's values of trustworthiness, integrity and professionalism.
- Actively contribute to the team and undertake other duties within the scope of the position as reasonably directed by management.
Role Requirements:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, Engineering Design or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a Civil Engineering Draftsperson or similar drafting role.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, calculations and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
