Electronics Hardware Engineer, Weller - DE - Besigheim

We are looking for dynamic and creative Development Engineer Electronics for R&D in the field of hand soldering and fume extraction systems.
Summary
In this position, your primary responsibility will be the development and enhancement of electronic systems to support our new product development activities, with a strong focus on circuit design, component selection, and the integration of electronic modules into complete product architectures. You will be involved in all electronic-related aspects of projects—from initial concept and prototyping through to validation and final release to production.
This role requires close collaboration with cross functional teams, including Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and design of electronic circuits and systems
- Creation and revision of schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of materials (Altium)
- Selection of suitable components based on technical, economic, and environmental criteria
- Execution of tests and failure analyses on electronic systems and prototypes
- Analysis and improvement of existing electronic solutions about performance, cost, and reliability
- Interaction with mechanical and software teams within the product development process
- Support in EMC compliant design, testing, and certification processes
- Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Collaboration with the product management team to translate product design features into technical requirements and specifications
- Alignment of technical requirements and specifications with external development partners and suppliers
Critical Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Solid knowledge in the development of electronic circuits
- Proficient use of ECAD tools (Altium)
- Experience with EMC compliant design and testing procedures
- Analytical, structured, and hands on working style
- Experience in programming with C and Python is advantageous
- Fluent in German and English
