Employment: permanent part time 30 per week, including a rostered weekend
Salary: $65,000 plus super
Internal position title: Operations 2IC (advertised as Boar Stud Lead)
Pork Storks Australia is looking for an experienced pig person to be second in charge at our Boar Stud in Glencoe. You'll work alongside the Operations Manager, lead the day to day work in the boar shed and step in when they're away.

Pork Storks Australia (PSA) is the leader in pig semen processing and delivery systems in Australia, with two semen collection facilities. We're part of Apiam Animal Health, a leading Australian veterinary group with a footprint of veterinary clinics, production animal and allied businesses.
Where You Come In
- Back up the Operations Manager day to day and cover when they're away
- Coordinate the boar shed team's daily tasks so production and dispatch deadlines are met
- Collect, process and pack semen, and look after boar care and training
- Keep quality system, APIQ and dispatch records accurate and audit ready
- Train new team members on the job
Is This You?
- At least 3 years' experience in the swine industry
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision and directing others
- Good with detail and record keeping
- Available for the rostered weekend work
- Current Australian driver's licence
Experience with semen collection and lab testing, APIQ and PigPass, or CASA and PRISM is a bonus, as is an agriculture or animal science qualification.
This is a biosecurity controlled site. Successful candidates must not have contact with pigs in their day to day life.
