Job Overview
215 Software is seeking an Application Developer to design, build, test, and maintain software applications that meet business and user requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong programming foundation, experience working with modern development frameworks, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders.
This role involves developing application features, integrating APIs and databases, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the delivery of secure, scalable, and maintainable software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web-based and business applications.
- Translate technical specifications and business requirements into working software.
- Write clean, reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Develop application interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks and related technologies.
- Build and integrate backend services, REST APIs, and database functionality.
- Test application features and troubleshoot software defects.
- Improve application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and support application updates.
- Assist with software integrations and modernization of existing systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or another relevant programming language.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, Node.js, or comparable development frameworks.
- Understanding of REST APIs, database systems, and application architecture.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development tools.
- Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of responsive design and application security principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage development tasks independently and work effectively with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining production applications.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar data technologies.
- Exposure to AWS, Google Cloud, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Agile development practices and code review workflows.
- Experience integrating third-party services or enterprise systems.
