About the role
AIQoach is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Applied AI Engineer. This is a central role reporting directly to the CTO. You will build production-ready AI agents with LangGraph that support teams across the whole business. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building agents, not a data science or machine learning research role. It is hybrid from London, and fully remote working will be considered for exceptional candidates.
What you will do
- Design, build and ship production-ready AI agents in Python with LangGraph
- Work with teams across the business to find where agents add the most value, and shape what each agent should do
- Connect agents to the data, systems and APIs they need through well-defined tools
- Build evaluations and tests so agent outputs can be trusted, with human review where it matters
- Deploy, monitor and improve agents in production, with attention to reliability, security and cost
- Work directly with the CTO to set the standards for how the company builds with AI
Essential
- Three to six years of commercial Python engineering experience, including shipping and maintaining production software
- Hands-on experience building AI agents with LangGraph
- Hands-on experience building or integrating tools with the Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- A public GitHub portfolio of AI agents you have built, which we will review
- One of these certifications: Claude Certified Developer: Foundations (Anthropic) or AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, Professional
Nice to have
- Experience deploying and running agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore
- Experience building internal tools or automation for business teams
