Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and commercially focused **Business Development Manager** to drive business growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and promoting the company's pharmaceutical regulatory and quality services. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the company's client portfolio, increasing revenue, and strengthening our market presence within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and healthcare sectors. * Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. * Generate sales leads through market research, networking and business development activities. * Arrange and conduct meetings with potential clients to understand their business and regulatory requirements. * Prepare tailored commercial proposals, quotations and service presentations for prospective clients. * Negotiate commercial terms and successfully convert opportunities into long\-term business relationships. * Manage the sales pipeline and ensure timely follow\-up of all business opportunities. * Achieve agreed business development, sales and revenue targets. * Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify new opportunities. * Collaborate with regulatory affairs and quality teams to ensure client requirements are fully understood and appropriate service solutions are offered. * Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities where appropriate. * Maintain accurate customer and sales records using company systems and prepare regular business development reports for management. * Contribute to business growth strategies and recommend improvements to business development processes and client engagement activities. * Support the development of marketing materials, promotional content and business presentations to strengthen the company's market presence.

Person SpecificationEssential

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship\-building skills. * Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities. * Excellent planning, organisational and time\-management skills. * Strong research, analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems. * Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team. * High level of professionalism, accuracy and attention to detail.

Desirable

* Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences or regulatory affairs sectors. * Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory processes and compliance requirements. * Previous experience in business development, account management or B2B sales.

Salary

Competitive, dependent on experience and compliant with Skilled Worker sponsorship requirements.

Working Hours

37\.5 hours per week (Full\-time, Permanent).

Pay: £33,500\.00\-£45,500\.00 per year
