Position Overview
As an AI/ML Intern, you will assist in researching, developing, and deploying machine learning models and data pipelines that power our platforms. You will work closely with our engineering team to translate complex business data into actionable insights, automation features, and intelligent system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Model Development & Experimentation: Assist in building, testing, and fine-tuning machine learning models (supervised/unsupervised) for predictive analytics, classification, or data extraction tasks.
- Data Engineering & Preprocessing: Clean, format, and structure raw data from enterprise systems to prepare high-quality datasets for model training and evaluation.
- API & Backend Integration: Work with backend developers to integrate ML model endpoints into our existing backend ecosystem (e.g., RESTful APIs).
- AI Feature Prototyping: Build prototypes for novel AI functionality (such as intelligent document processing, recommendation logic, or natural language workflows) aligned with B2B user needs.
- Performance Evaluation & Tuning: Help evaluate model metrics (precision, recall, F1 score, accuracy), debug pipelines, and optimize performance for low-latency inference.
- Research & Collaboration: Stay updated on current AI/ML trends, open-source models, and frameworks, sharing findings with the engineering team to solve real business challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications (The "Must-Haves")
- Education / Background: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Core Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and fundamental data science libraries (such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
- ML Foundations: Solid conceptual understanding of core Machine Learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering, decision trees) and model evaluation techniques.
- Data Handling: Basic proficiency in SQL and experience handling structured and unstructured datasets.
- Problem-Solving & Passion: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward learning new AI/ML tools and methods.
Preferred Skills (The "Nice-to-Haves")
- Deep Learning Frameworks: Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow for building deep learning models.
- LLMs & Generative AI: Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or frameworks like LangChain/LlamaIndex.
- API Development: Basic experience with web frameworks like FastAPI or Flask to serve models as APIs.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git for collaborative coding and code reviews.
- Cloud & Tools: Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or tools like Docker for containerized deployment.
