**Human Resources \& Workplace Manager**
**Position Summary**
The Human Resources \& Workplace Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of Human Resources while ensuring the smooth day\-to\-day operation of the corporate office. This role serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership by driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, payroll and benefits administration, compliance, office operations, and organizational initiatives that support ArtSkills' continued growth.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, , and capable of balancing strategic planning with hands\-on execution in a fast\-paced environment.
**Essential Responsibilities**
**Human Resources Leadership**
* Collaborate with Executive Team to develop and execute staffing strategies to support company growth. * Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, offer creation, and onboarding. * Fill approved positions within established hiring timelines. * Partner with department leaders to define job responsibilities and organizational needs. * Provide regular staffing and workforce updates to executive leadership. * Conduct daily department visits to maintain awareness of employee engagement, morale, and operational needs. * Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance concerns. * Assist leadership with employee counseling, corrective actions, investigations, and terminations. * Coordinate and facilitate annual performance review processes. * Schedule and conduct new\-hire check\-in meetings at one week, one month, three months, and six months. * Maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee records while ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws. * Develop and continuously improve onboarding resources, answers to FAQs, and new\-hire experiences. * Coordinate and document 30\-60\-90\-day onboarding plans with managers. * Ensure HR meetings, onboarding milestones, and follow\-up actions occur on schedule.
**Benefits \& Payroll Administration**
* Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). * Coordinate annual open enrollment and employee education sessions. * Serve as the primary contact for employee benefits questions. * Partner with insurance brokers to evaluate plan options and identify opportunities to reduce benefits costs. * Maintain employee census information and benefits eligibility. * Collaborate with Payroll to process new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and payroll updates. * Maintain employee payroll documentation including tax forms and direct\-deposit information. * Reconcile PTO balances and maintain accurate leave records. * Assist with payroll budgeting and workforce planning.
**Talent Acquisition**
* Develop proactive recruiting strategies to attract top talent. * Manage recruitment platforms, job postings, and employer branding. * Source candidates through recruiting platforms, networking, referrals, and social media. * Coordinate interviews and maintain a positive candidate experience. * Partner with hiring managers to identify future workforce needs.
**Onboarding \& Offboarding**
* Coordinate all new\-hire paperwork and employment documentation. * Ensure workstation, system access, email accounts, and onboarding logistics are completed before employee start dates. * Maintain physical and electronic employee files. * Coordinate offboarding activities including system access removal, payroll notifications, exit interviews, and termination documentation. * Ensure all separation processes are completed accurately and confidentially.
**Employee Engagement \& Culture**
* Plan and execute employee appreciation initiatives, recognition programs, company celebrations, wellness activities, and morale events. * Coordinate annual staff meetings and periodic leadership presentations. * Promote a positive, collaborative, and engaging workplace culture. * Support employee communication initiatives and organizational transparency.
**Office Operations**
* Serve as the primary contact for office\-maintenance vendors, janitorial services, pest control, internet providers, telecommunications, and IT support. * Coordinate office maintenance and facility improvements. * Maintain office\-supply inventory and purchasing. * Oversee kitchen, coffee bar, snack areas, and shared office spaces. * Coordinate office organization and workplace improvement initiatives. * Assist with supervision and coordination of office administrative support.
**Executive Support**
* Provide administrative support to executive leadership as needed. * Coordinate executive calendars, meetings, and scheduling. * Prepare daily calendars and meeting materials. * Assist with event planning, company functions, holiday activities, and executive projects. * Coordinate catering, hospitality, and event logistics. * Assist with miscellaneous administrative projects and special assignments.
**Qualifications**
**Education**
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. * SHRM\-CP, SHRM\-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
**Experience**
* 5\+ years of progressive Human Resources experience. * Experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and performance management. * Experience supporting executive leadership is preferred. * Manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products experience is preferred.
**Knowledge \& Skills**
* Experience administering employee\-benefits programs. * Exceptional interpersonal and conflict\-resolution skills. * Strong organizational and project\-management abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. * High level of professionalism and confidentiality. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, payroll systems, and applicant tracking systems. * Working knowledge of payroll processes.
Pay: $75,000\.00 \- $89,000\.00 per year
