About Atlas Power Technologies

Atlas Power Technologies is Canada’s first domestic supercapacitor manufacturer, developing proprietary high\-energy\-density cells and modular energy\-storage systems for grid, industrial, data\-centre, transportation, and next\-generation power applications.

Built on more than a decade of research, engineering, and collaboration with leading Canadian universities, Atlas has advanced its technology from early\-stage development to product validation and certification. Its supercapacitor technology is engineered to deliver exceptional cycle life, rapid charge and discharge capability, high power density, and reliable performance in demanding operating environments.

Atlas is currently progressing through product certification while preparing for pilot production and commercial demonstrations. Supported by industrial partnerships, financial backing, and growing customer and investor interest, the company is building the foundation required to scale manufacturing and bring Canadian\-developed supercapacitor technology to domestic and international markets.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands\-on Project Manager to bring organization, structure, and accountability across multiple technical and operational teams as Atlas moves into commercialization. This role connects the dots between engineering, manufacturing, leadership, suppliers, and—over time—customers. You will translate priorities and dependencies into executable plans, maintain integrated project schedules, keep commitments visible, and ensure risks are addressed before they affect delivery.

This is not a technical\-authority role: engineering decisions remain with our technical leaders. Your value will come from creating clarity, asking effective questions, driving disciplined follow\-up, and keeping complex work moving in a fast\-paced environment. Priorities and processes will not always be fully defined, so success requires sound judgment, adaptability, curiosity, and the ability to learn our products, systems, and industry quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Integrated Project Planning \& Scheduling

* Develop, maintain, and communicate integrated project schedules covering product development, validation, prototype and pilot builds, production readiness, releases, and customer delivery milestones. * Translate cross\-functional work into clear work breakdown structures, milestones, dependencies, owners, durations, and target dates. * Identify and actively manage critical\-path activities, schedule float, sequencing constraints, and changes to the baseline plan. * Run regular schedule reviews, update forecasts using actual progress, and communicate the impact of scope, resource, supplier, or engineering changes. * Prepare recovery plans and practical schedule scenarios when milestones are at risk.

Cross\-Functional Project Leadership

* Work closely with firmware, software, controls, electrical, mechanical, test, cell development, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and leadership teams to align priorities and deliverables. * Coordinate work across disciplines so teams understand upcoming milestones, hand\-offs, blockers, and dependencies. * Facilitate technical and project discussions; document decisions, assumptions, owners, action items, and due dates while leaving technical decisions with engineering leadership. * Build accountability through consistent follow\-up and timely escalation, without relying on formal authority.

Agile \& Day\-to\-Day Execution

* Support fit\-for\-purpose Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog organization, sprint planning, stand\-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and tracking against sprint goals. * Jira as the primary execution\-tracking tool so tasks are current, priorities are clear, owners are assigned, and blockers and dependencies are visible. * Connect sprint\-level activity to the broader integrated project schedule and major program milestones. * Adapt project controls to the work: use Agile methods where they help and milestone or phase\-based planning where hardware and manufacturing activities require it.

Risk, Issue \& Resource Management

* Maintain project risk, issue, action, and decision logs with clear owners, mitigation actions, and target dates. * Identify schedule risk, technical blockers, resource conflicts, supplier constraints, and cost impacts early; quantify likely delivery effects where possible. * Escalate concerns proactively with concise context, options, and recommended next actions. * Support capacity and resource planning by highlighting competing priorities and constraints across active projects.

Product Release \& Manufacturing Readiness

* Coordinate release readiness across scope, engineering completion, test readiness and results, open defects, documentation, approvals, manufacturing readiness, and customer delivery targets. * Coordinate engineering and manufacturing activities during prototype builds, pilot builds, system integration, and production ramp\-up. * Track readiness of bills of materials, drawings, test procedures, work instructions, tooling, materials, suppliers, and manufacturing dependencies. * Coordinate build schedules and communicate downstream impacts from engineering, configuration, or supply changes.

Documentation, Quality Systems \& Communication

* Maintain organized, controlled project documentation that supports ISO requirements, audits, traceability, design reviews, test records, approvals, and project handover. * Track requirements updates, engineering changes, configuration and version control, and required approvals. * Facilitate effective cross\-functional meetings; capture decisions and commitments and follow through to closure. * Provide concise, audience\-appropriate status reporting to leadership, technical teams, manufacturing, and customers when required.

Process Improvement

* Help build scalable project and product\-development processes, templates, workflows, dashboards, release checklists, lessons\-learned practices, and closeout standards. * Improve the quality and speed of planning and reporting as the company grows, balancing useful structure with the needs of a fast\-moving team.

What Success Looks Like

* Integrated schedules are realistic, current, and trusted by the teams using them. * Milestones, owners, dependencies, and acceptance criteria are clear. * Risks and schedule slippage are identified early enough to take action. * Meetings result in decisions, ownership, and completed follow\-up—not just discussion. * Leadership has consistent forward visibility into delivery dates, trade\-offs, and resource constraints. * Engineering and manufacturing teams spend less time chasing information and more time executing.

Required Qualifications

* 3–5\+ years of experience in project management, technical project coordination, program coordination, or project scheduling. * Demonstrated experience building and maintaining detailed schedules, managing dependencies, and tracking critical\-path activities across multiple workstreams. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several technical projects and shifting priorities simultaneously. * Comfort working with engineers and technical teams; able to understand dependencies and ask effective questions without needing to make engineering decisions. * Experience with Jira or a similar work\-management platform and proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, or comparable scheduling tools. * Clear written and verbal communication, strong meeting facilitation, and disciplined follow\-up. * A proactive, ownership\-oriented approach and sound judgment about when to resolve, coordinate, or escalate an issue. * Ability to learn new products, terminology, systems, and processes quickly in an evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting hardware product development, manufacturing, industrial, clean\-technology, energy\-storage, automation, or other multidisciplinary engineering projects. * Experience coordinating prototype, pilot, new\-product\-introduction, or production\-readiness activities. * Familiarity with document control, change control, configuration management, ISO\-aligned quality systems, or stage\-gate/product\-release processes. * PMP, CAPM, Scrum, or Agile certification is an asset, but not required.

Compensation \& Benefits

At Atlas Power Technologies, we believe in rewarding our employees for their contributions and supporting their well\-being. We offer:

* Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. * Extended health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage. * Paid vacation. * Eligibility to participate in the Atlas Power Technologies Employee Stock Option Plan, providing the opportunity to share in the company's long\-term growth and success.

The Person We’re Looking For

You create order without adding unnecessary bureaucracy. You are comfortable entering an ambiguous situation, learning quickly, and turning incomplete information into a practical plan. You follow through, communicate directly, and take ownership of outcomes. You can move at startup speed while maintaining the discipline needed for safe, reliable product and manufacturing execution.
