Atwell, LLC is a proud recipient of the following 2025 awards: <ul> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Ten consecutive years in a row as a “Best Place to Work” by Zweig Group (#11)</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Recognized as #70 in the ENR Top 500 Design Firms, ranked in every region</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Recognized in Crain's “Fast 50” as one of the fastest-growing companies (#14)</li> <li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Recognized as the 2025 ENR Design Firm of the year for the Southeastern US </li> </ul></div>Job Description The Assistant Crew Chief is a developmental position that assists the survey Crew Chief by conducting field activities under direct supervision.  <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Operates and maintains a variety of survey equipment safely and efficiently.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Stock and help maintain a clean vehicle.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Assist in prompt start to survey activities at project site by assembling and setting up necessary equipment.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Perform survey activities such as: leveling, traversing, topographic mapping, construction layout, as-built surveys, boundary surveys, profile, and cross section surveys.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Record field notes legibly and accurately while following the Atwell established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). </li> </ul> Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">A valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle is required.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a Survey Field Technician</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Basic plan and map reading (i.e., construction/engineering plans, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, plats, etc.)</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Typical survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS systems, data collectors, UAV’s, etc. Experience with Trimble brand preferred.</li> <li style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proficiency in conducting UAV surveys and processing point cloud data is preferred.
