You will be responsible for supporting client projects and providing a quality deliverable that is on time and within the defined budget.  Essential Responsibilities <ul> <li>Performs detailed design and prepares drawings for all aspects of electrical power and mechanical systems within the industrial space to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, and wiring diagrams.</li> <li>Provides conceptual and high-level designs during bidding stage of projects with limited information or direction.</li> <li>Assists with external T&D standards development, such as Distribution and Transmission Construction Standards.</li> <li>Performs various T&D designs in PLSCADD</li> <li>Prepares a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including basis of designs, bill of materials, and specifications as required.</li> <li>Checks the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required.</li> <li>Contributes to CAD & PLSCADD standard development in a manner that is cognizant of both engineering and design departments.</li> <li>Reduces complexity of projects/tasks within their discipline for high-level efficiency.</li> <li>Serves a major role in the QA/QC process and takes initiative and ownership on all project and task quality.</li> <li>Assists with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings.</li> <li>Maintains outstanding company-client relationships.</li> <li>Other responsibilities as assigned.</li> </ul> Must Have <ul> <li>Education: Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or related field is preferred</li> <li>Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering drafting and design, or other relevant experience</li> <li>Ability to interpret basic one-line/three-line diagrams and schematics</li> <li>Basic working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems as they relate to industrial environments</li> <li>Proficiency with PLSCADD is required</li> <li>Proficiency with AutoCAD</li> <li>Proficiency with AUD</li> <li>Familiarity and experience utilizing various codes and standards such as NEC, NESC, RUS, etc.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and additional computer software</li> <li>Maintain high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization</li> <li>Engaged in lifelong learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues</li> <li>Willingness to attend conferences, training workshops, seminars, regular undergraduate, and graduate classes as appropriate for advancement and as required to maintain quality of work</li> <li>Willingness to attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines</li> <li>Provide technical assistance and training for junior drafters and designers</li> <li>A strong written and verbal command of the English language</li> <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis</li> </ul> Pay Range - $32.00 - $50.00, + benefits, + year-end bonus.  Disclaimer  While AI tools may support your application process, this role is built on human talent.
