Essential Responsibilities <ul> <li>Perform detailed design of all aspects of electrical power systems to include one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, grounding design, general arrangement, selection of equipment, writing of equipment specifications</li> <li>Set, test, wire, and install relaying and control systems, specifically SEL equipment.</li> <li>Program, installation, and testing of SCADA and PLC systems, primarily SELRTACs</li> <li>Produce configuration files associated with IEC61850 (GOOSE), DNP3, or other SCADA protocols</li> <li>Prepare a variety of documents and reports associated with projects including specifications, RFIs, studies</li> <li>Perform SCADA and relay field testing and commissioning services</li> <li>Provide field assistance and troubleshooting for SCADA systems such as SEL RTAC, Ignition, or PLCs.</li> <li>Checking the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for general quality and accuracy as required</li> <li>Understanding and experience with applicable Codes and Standards such as NEC and NESC</li> <li>Mobilize and perform field assignments multiple weeks at a time in Texas and New Mexico</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> Must Have <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred</li> <li>Experience: 2 – 5 years of relevant engineering or field experience</li> <li>Licensure: FE is preferred</li> <li>Knowledge and familiarity with medium and high voltage power systems, with strong knowledge in SCADA</li> <li>SEL equipment installation and configuration, RTAC experience is a plus</li> <li>Experience with configuring, testing, and commissioning IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS, and/or other SCADA protocols</li> <li>Experience creating Network Architecture Diagrams</li> <li>Experience with Oil & Gas private usage networks (Transmission & Distribution) is a plus</li> <li>Proficiency with AutoCAD</li> <li>Previous Interactions with clients, customers, contractors and others</li> <li>Assist with client contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments and meetings</li> <li>Ability to travel periodically for weeks across states for field work as needed</li> <li>Possesses effective written and oral communications skills</li> <li>Good interpersonal and people skills</li> <li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis</li> </ul> Pay Range - $100,000 - $150,000 base, + benefits, + year-end bonus.  Disclaimer  While AI tools may support your application process, this role is built on human talent.
