Duties
- Diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical knowledge to identify necessary repairs.
- Write detailed, accurate service estimates utilizing estimating software, ensuring transparency for customers.
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to clients, explaining necessary services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts, and more.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance packages to enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, manage workflow, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation of all service work performed.
- Maintain client communication throughout the repair process, providing updates and answering questions confidently.
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with dealership or collision repair background.
- Strong mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain complex repairs clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, alignments, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, and collision repair processes.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Familiarity with auto estimating systems and dealership operations is highly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential.
