About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Azure DevOps & Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, IIS, Windows Server, DevOps automation, and cloud migration.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing IIS/Windows workload migrations to Azure, managing Azure infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring reliability, security, and performance of production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and support IIS application and Windows Server migrations to Azure.
- Assess existing IIS environments and develop migration approaches based on application and infrastructure requirements.
- Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines, networking, storage, and related infrastructure.
- Configure and administer IIS, Windows Server, application pools, websites, bindings, certificates, and web services.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
- Configure Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, DNS, and private connectivity.
- Monitor Azure workloads and troubleshoot performance, connectivity, deployment, and application issues.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, security, and high-availability practices.
- Work with development, application, security, and infrastructure teams during migration and post-migration activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, runbooks, and operational procedures.
- Participate in production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Azure infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud platform engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with IIS and Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on experience with IIS/Windows workload migration to Azure.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good knowledge of Azure Virtual Machines and Azure networking.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Experience with Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Knowledge of Azure security, identity, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows/IIS and Azure infrastructure issues.
- Good understanding of cloud migration methodologies and production environments.
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure Application Gateway / WAF.
- Knowledge of Azure Load Balancer, Azure DNS, Private Endpoints, and VPN/ExpressRoute.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Knowledge of Azure Site Recovery and Azure Backup.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400.
- Experience migrating legacy applications from on-premises data centers to Azure.
