2B Sales Representative – CollisionGuard Industrial Safety Systems
Part-time contract | 1–3 days per week | Work from home | Sydney
All Clear Safety Pty Ltd is an Australian company that designs and manufactures CollisionGuard, a pedestrian proximity warning system for forklifts and mobile plant.
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated B2B Sales Representative to help us develop new customers and follow up our existing Australian customer base.
This is a flexible, part-time contract opportunity, typically around 1–3 days per week, with most work carried out from home.
Our business is based in Sans Souci, Sydney, and the successful person should be able to visit Sans Souci occasionally for product training, meetings and familiarisation with CollisionGuard.
As your product knowledge develops, there will also be opportunities to visit prospective customers, demonstrate the product and potentially prepare straightforward customer quotations.
About CollisionGuard
CollisionGuard is designed to help reduce the risk of collisions between forklifts, mobile plant and pedestrians.
When a worker carrying a CollisionGuard Fob enters the configured warning zone around an equipped vehicle, the vehicle operator receives a siren, amber flashing warning and spoken alert, while the pedestrian’s Fob vibrates and flashes.
CollisionGuard does not require direct line of sight, making it particularly useful around warehouse racking, parked vehicles, structures, blind corners and other areas where visibility may be restricted.
CollisionGuard is:
- Designed and manufactured in Australia
- Suitable for retrofit to existing forklifts and mobile plant
- Supplied with no ongoing subscription fee for the standard system
- Supported locally and directly by the product designer
- Available for customers to evaluate through a 30-day site trial
Typical customers include manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centres, logistics companies, food producers, steel and engineering businesses, building-product manufacturers and other businesses operating forklifts or mobile equipment around pedestrians.
The role
Your primary responsibility will be to identify suitable businesses, reach the appropriate decision-maker and develop genuine sales opportunities.
The role initially focuses on telephone and email contact.
You will:
- Contact suitable new businesses by telephone and email
- Follow up our existing Australian customer database
- Reconnect with previous customers who may require additional or replacement equipment
- Identify WHS Managers, Safety Managers, Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers, Site Managers and business owners
- Explain the key benefits of CollisionGuard
- Send approved brochures and product information
- Follow up interested customers
- Identify suitable demonstrations and 30-day site trials
- Qualify customer requirements, including approximate vehicle numbers and Fob requirements
- Maintain accurate CRM notes and follow-up dates
- Follow quotations and sales opportunities through to a decision
- Refer detailed technical questions to David Huisman while learning the product
Initially, David will handle detailed technical discussions, demonstrations and formal quotations.
As you become familiar with CollisionGuard, the role may expand to include:
- Occasional customer site visits
- Product demonstrations
- Assessing straightforward customer requirements
- Preparing standard quotations using approved pricing and templates
- Managing suitable customers from initial contact through to sale
What we provide
You will not be expected to start with an empty prospect list.
All Clear Safety will provide:
- An established Australian customer database
- Selected prospect lists
- CRM access
- CollisionGuard brochures and sales material
- Telephone scripts
- Technical FAQ and product reference material
- All Clear Safety email address
- Product training
- Quotation templates
- Direct technical support
- Support with customer demonstrations and 30-day trials
You will also be able to visit our Sans Souci location to see CollisionGuard operating and become comfortable explaining and demonstrating the system.
Commission
This is a commission-based contract opportunity with no guaranteed base salary.
Commission is calculated on net product revenue actually received by All Clear Safety, excluding GST, freight, credits and refunds.
There is no cap on commission.
Commission structure:
- 7.5% – new customers personally generated and developed by you
- 5% – existing or dormant customers actively reactivated by you
- 5% – inbound enquiries allocated to you and converted to a sale
- 2.5% – repeat purchases from customers you originated, for 12 months from the first paid sale while you remain actively involved
Examples:
- 1 standard system at $3,120 ex GST = $234 commission at 7.5%
- 4 standard systems at $12,480 ex GST = $936 commission
- 10 standard systems at $31,200 ex GST = $2,340 commission
Larger fleet opportunities can therefore generate meaningful commission from an individual customer.
These examples are illustrative only and do not represent guaranteed earnings.
Working arrangement
This is intended to be a genuinely flexible role.
The expected workload is typically equivalent to around 1–3 days per week, depending on your availability and level of sales activity.
Most work can be performed from home.
Applicants can live anywhere within Greater Sydney, although being able to occasionally attend Sans Souci NSW is important.
There may also be occasional customer visits around Sydney as opportunities develop.
Who we are looking for
We are particularly interested in someone with strong B2B sales experience.
Experience in any of the following would be highly regarded:
- Industrial B2B sales
- Forklifts and material handling
- Workplace safety / WHS
- Warehouse equipment
- Manufacturing
- Engineering products
- Industrial machinery
- Transport and logistics
- Commercial vehicles
- Heavy equipment or mobile plant
- PPE or workplace safety products
You do not need to be an engineer or technical specialist.
More important is that you are:
- Confident making outbound business calls
- Comfortable speaking with WHS Managers, Operations Managers, Warehouse Managers and business owners
- Good at building relationships
- Organised and persistent with follow-up
- Comfortable working independently from home
- Able to keep clear CRM notes and follow-up dates
- Willing to learn enough about CollisionGuard to explain the product accurately
Existing relationships with manufacturers, warehouses, forklift fleets, logistics companies or industrial businesses would be highly regarded.
This opportunity may particularly suit an experienced or semi-retired salesperson who no longer wants a full-time corporate role but still enjoys developing customers and closing business.
What success looks like
We are not looking for someone simply to make hundreds of telephone calls.
We want someone who can identify good prospective customers, reach the right decision-maker, understand their requirements, build rapport and consistently follow opportunities through.
A typical sales process will be:
Initial contact → identify WHS/operations decision-maker → send CollisionGuard information → follow up → qualify the opportunity → demonstration or 30-day trial → quotation → follow up → sale
You will have technical support throughout the process.
