Security Expert – Firewall & CyberArk

We are looking for an experienced Security SME – Firewall & CyberArk to join a project in an international IT environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and validating firewall rules, managing privileged access requirements, and ensuring secure connectivity between CyberArk and enterprise applications and systems.

The project also involves security risk assessments, migration support, and ensuring compliance with established security policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and validate firewall rules based on source and destination IP addresses, ports, and protocols.

• Analyze network connectivity and security requirements for applications.

• Validate application onboarding to CyberArk and associated privileged access requirements.

• Define and verify required firewall connectivity between CyberArk components and target applications.

• Identify and assess alternative administrative access paths.

• Conduct security risk assessments and support security reviews.

• Support Change Request (CRQ) approval processes.

• Validate security configurations and controls during system migrations.

• Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and maintain security documentation and compliance evidence.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with firewalls and network security.

• Practical knowledge of CyberArk and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.

• Ability to define, analyze, and validate firewall rules (Source, Destination, Ports, Protocols).

• Experience with privileged access management and access control mechanisms.

• Strong understanding of network communication protocols and system connectivity requirements.

• Experience in security risk assessment and risk mitigation.

• Knowledge of security compliance processes and controls.

• Ability to analyze technical requirements and document security solutions.

• Experience collaborating with technical teams on infrastructure changes and system migrations.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in banking, financial services, or large enterprise environments.

• Previous involvement in CyberArk/PAM implementation or migration projects.

• Familiarity with Change Management and CRQ processes.

• Experience with security audits and access control validation.

• Understanding of security requirements in highly regulated environments.
