**The role**

As an Aircraft Maintenance Inspector, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest safety and regulatory standards. Working alongside Licensed Aircraft Engineers, you’ll contribute to flight\-line operations, maintenance activities, and engineering assurance, supporting critical aviation capability.

Day\-to\-day, you will:

* Carry out scheduled and corrective aircraft maintenance activities * Suppot flight\-line operations including aircraft preparation, daily servicing, and turnaround * Inspect and certifying maintenance work in line with regulatory and company standards * Complete all maintenance documentation accurately in line with procedures and legislation * Provide technical support and working collaboratively with engineering teams and stakeholders.

This is a full\-time role (40 hours per week) based on site at RAF Benson. Shift patterns for this role are 4 x 10\-hour days.

**Essential experience of the Aircraft Maintenance Inspector:**

* Experience working within a military or civilian Part 145 environment * Strong background in aircraft maintenance and flight\-line operations * Ability to interpret technical manuals and complete documentation accurately * Experience supporting or supervising engineering or technician teams * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders.

**Qualifications for the Aircraft Maintenance Inspector:**

* Recognised aircraft apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification * Full UK driving licence * Military or civil aircraft engineering experience is desirable.

**Security Clearance**

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) / Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
