About NoCodeBI
We're building NoCodeBI, a no-code platform that lets people build web apps, dashboards, workflow automations, and browser tests on their own data, with an AI copilot and real-time collaboration built in. Behind the scenes it's a set of services that connect to your data sources, run queries across them, keep everything in sync in real time, and run your automations. This role lives on that backend.
What you'll work on
- Our query layer, which runs both live analytics and everyday create/read/update/delete across a lot of different data sources behind one common interface.
- The connector framework (gRPC and protobuf) that reads and writes across databases, APIs, and files. Each source gets its own translator and executor.
- The real-time data pipeline that keeps our main database and our analytics store continuously in sync, event by event.
- Triggers and automation: scheduled polling, inbound webhooks with HMAC verification, and database change events that kick off workflows.
- Service APIs and auth, including an OAuth 2.0 broker (PKCE and token refresh), JWT with RS256, and an encrypted store for secrets and tokens.

- Go (our main language), Java with Spring Boot, and Node.js with TypeScript
- PostgreSQL, Redis, and a columnar analytics warehouse for OLAP
- gRPC and protobuf, durable message streaming, OAuth 2.0 and JWT
- Docker, Kubernetes, and self-managed Linux
What we're looking for
- Around 3+ years building production backend services, or 5+ for a senior role. Go is ideal, but if you're strong in Java or Node/TypeScript and genuinely want to work in Go, that works too.
- You're solid with SQL and relational data modelling. You can read an EXPLAIN, add the right index, and reason about transactions.
- You're comfortable with the basics of distributed systems: queues and streaming, idempotency, retries, and eventual consistency.
- You write code that still makes sense two years later. Error handling, logging, and tests aren't things you bolt on at the end.
- You communicate clearly in writing and can take a feature from idea to shipped.
Nice to have
- Experience with columnar or OLAP analytics engines.
- Event streaming, or change-data-capture (CDC) pipelines.
- Plugin systems, or connector and integration frameworks you've built or worked on.
- Some range on the frontend. If you're comfortable in our Next.js and React codebase too, that's a real plus, and it's how people here grow into leads.
