**Roles and Responsibilities**

In this role, you will:

* Engineer data models and data transformations * Determine what data extract, transform, and load (ETL) operations are necessary for a given requirement * Schedule, monitor, and debug data operations jobs * Work with data architects and other data engineers to implement requests from business stakeholders * Contribute to the continual improvement of standards and conventions in data organization * Communicate ideas and designs clearly to technical stakeholders * Explain the thinking behind design choices and approach technical criticism and suggestions with humility

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's Degree. Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering with substantial experience in data engineering, or 4 years of strong experience in data engineering, with strong expertise in data modeling and data architecture. * Strong experience with SQL, Python

**Desired Characteristics**

Technical Expertise:

* Experience working in an Agile/Scrum methodology * Understanding of code review/GitHub/version control * Understanding on designing \& implementing data pipelines * Understanding on building AI\-ready data foundations * Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g. Data Bricks, Azure) * Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI\-assisted development tools to improve developer productivity, code quality, and software delivery efficiency. * Experience with object\-oriented languages would be a bonus * Understanding of SAP or Oracle would be a bonus
