Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our market share in the drainage and civil maintenance sector. You will find new commercial clients, secure framework agreements, and build lasting relationships with contractors and local authorities. Your work will directly expand the footprint of BNE Drainage Services.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business: Secure commercial contracts, tenders, and framework agreements.
- Client Relations: Manage relationships with main contractors, facilities managers, and local authorities.
- Bidding: Write competitive quotations, proposals, and tender responses.
- Sales Targets: Meet or beat monthly and yearly sales, revenue, and profit goals.
- Networking: Attend trade shows, industry events, and client site visits.
- Operations Handover: Work with the operations team to transition new projects smoothly.
- Data Tracking: Keep accurate records of leads, pipelines, and customer talks in the CRM software.
Requirements and Skills
- Experience: Proven B2B sales experience in drainage, utilities, or construction.
- Commercial Skills: Ability to read tender documents and negotiate contracts.
- Communication: Strong presentation, listening, and negotiation skills.
- Tech Skills: Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Requirements: Full UK driving license.
