We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded **Senior HR Business Partner** to join our Australian HR team on a **6\-month fixed\-term contract**, with the potential for extension or permanency. Reporting directly to the **HR Manager**, you will partner closely with operational and functional leaders to drive people outcomes, support business performance and foster a positive workplace culture.
Based at our Hazelmere Head Office, this role supports predominantly **site\-based operational portfolios** and offers the opportunity to work in a fast\-paced environment where you'll provide trusted advice, influence key people decisions and contribute to strategic HR initiatives. **Occasional site travel will be required** to maintain strong connections with operational leaders and employees.
**What will your day\-to\-day look like?**
* Partner with leaders and employees to deliver proactive HR support aligned with business objectives. * Build trusted relationships with operational managers, employees, employee representatives and key stakeholders. * Provide expert advice on employment legislation, industrial instruments, employee entitlements and HR best practice. * Coach and support leaders through employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, disciplinary processes and terminations. * Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that support business performance and employee engagement. * Assist in reviewing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and industrial instruments. * Deliver HR\-related training and support leaders to build capability and ensure compliance. * Contribute to workforce analytics, HR reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. * Ensure HR processes and practices remain compliant with relevant legislative requirements. * Participate in occasional site visits to support operational teams and strengthen stakeholder partnerships.
**Our Ideal Candidate Background Includes**
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a dedicated HR Business Partner role. * Strong working knowledge of Australian Employment and Industrial Relations legislation. * Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters while balancing commercial and legal considerations. * Proven ability to coach, influence and build capability in leaders at all levels. * Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship\-building skills. * Strong planning, organisation and problem\-solving abilities. * Experience working within mining, resources, construction or other operational environments will be highly regarded. * Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or a related discipline are desirable.
