The Role

The Atlas unit is seeking a recent computer science or engineering graduate to help develop data management, quality assurance, backup, and process tracking workflows for 911 GIS data. The candidate will work with the Geospatial Services Team Leads to build tools that effectively track the status and history of GIS data from hundreds of supplier agencies. They will help develop and design data models for metadata management, integration with external APIs for service management and may develop status visualisation tools such as dashboards and webmaps. The outcomes of this work will help ensure that critical data serving the 911 system for British Columbia is reliably managed, traceable and its status readily available to key partners.
