Role Overview
Beyond Spaces is looking for a Lighting Specialist / Electrical Enginee r to serve as our in-house expert for our lighting products and solutions.
The ideal candidate has a background in Electrical Engineering, preferably with experience in architectural, residential, commercial, or decorative lighting. The role will support clients and our internal Sales and Design teams in selecting the right lighting based on both technical requirements and the desired look and atmosphere of the space.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop strong knowledge of all lighting products offered by Beyond Spaces, including their specifications and applications.
- Recommend appropriate wattage, lumens, Kelvin/color temperature, beam angle, fixture type, quantity, and placement for different spaces.
- Advise clients, architects, and interior designers on suitable lighting solutions.
- Review floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, electrical plans, and interior drawings.
- Assist with basic lighting calculations and illumination requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on drivers, transformers, dimming, voltage, IP ratings, and lighting controls.
- Support the Sales and Design teams with product selection, quotations, and technical inquiries.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, electricians, and installers when needed.
- Conduct site visits and assist with lighting-related installation or technical concerns.
- Keep the team updated on new lighting products and technologies.
