Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake data architect to design, develop, and implement scalable cloud data platforms and modern data architectures. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, Azure Databricks, AWS, Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and modern data engineering practices.
The candidate will be responsible for developing enterprise-grade data solutions, optimizing data platforms, designing data pipelines, and working closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Snowflake data warehouse and cloud data architectures
- Develop enterprise data models, including dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Design and implement modern data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse architectures.
- Develop data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS services.
- Design integration between Snowflake, AWS S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, and Azure Databricks.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, tasks, streams, and Snowflake data pipelines.
- Implement Snowflake features such as time travel, zero-copy cloning, Snowpipe, streams & tasks, dynamic tables, and Snowflake security controls.
- Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue and Databricks.
- Build data ingestion frameworks using Amazon S3 as a data lake/storage layer.
- Design data migration and modernization solutions from AWS Redshift and traditional data warehouses to Snowflake.
- Develop and maintain scalable Azure Databricks solutions using Spark and PySpark.
- Implement data processing and transformation using Apache Spark/PySpark.
- Optimize Snowflake warehouses, queries, storage, and compute costs.
- Implement appropriate partitioning, clustering, indexing strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
- Establish data security using RBAC, roles, privileges, masking policies, row-access policies, and encryption.
- Develop data-quality frameworks and establish standards for data governance and data management.
- Work with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering and Snowflake deployments.
- Design monitoring, logging, error handling, and alerting mechanisms for data pipelines.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and application teams to understand data requirements.
- Create technical architecture documents, data-flow diagrams, data models, and implementation standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor data engineers and developers.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹350,000.00 per month
