Birkin Group are currently recruiting for a Experience Support Supervisor to join our team at a site in W12 7GF.

Working Hours:
Wednesday - Sunday, 10:00 - 15:00

Job Purpose

To support the delivery of high-quality cleaning services at a very busy London Visitor attraction, ensuring agreed cleaning standards are consistently achieved and client expectations are met.

To provide hands-on support to Experience Support Operatives, carrying out regular checks, quality inspections, and helping to resolve day-to-day operational issues.

Working closely with the Contract Manager, and deputising for them in their absence, this is a pivotal role acting as a key link between the cleaning teams, Contract Manager and on site clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Support and Quality Standards
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of cleaning services.
  • Regularly monitoring cleaning standards and provide practical support.
  • Carry out routine quality inspections and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with site teams to ensure cleaning schedules are completed effectively.
  • Escalate significant service concerns to the Contract Manager where necessary.
  • Maintain a visible presence across the site

Team Support and Development

  • Provide support and guidance to Experience Support Operatives.
  • Promote a positive working environment and strong team culture.
  • Deliver staff briefings and toolbox talks when required.
  • Assist with the induction and training of new employees.
  • Encourage good attendance, teamwork and professional behaviour.
  • Recognise and support good performance within cleaning teams.

Staffing and Attendance

  • Assist with arranging cover for annual leave, sickness and vacancies.
  • Manage rota planning and staffing requirements.
  • Monitor staffing levels and highlight concerns to the Contract Manager.

Client Relationships

  • Build positive working relationships with site teams.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to client feedback or service requests.
  • Support the resolution of any cleaning concerns raised
  • Deputise for the Contract Manager and act as a day-to-day point of contact for operational matters.

Stock and Equipment Management

  • Monitor stock levels across the site and arrange replenishment where required.
  • Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are stored and used correctly.
  • Promote safe and economical use of cleaning products.
  • Report faulty equipment and arrange repairs or replacement through the appropriate channels.

Health, Safety and Compliance

  • Promote safe working practices
  • Ensure COSHH information and site documentation remain current and available.
  • Carry out routine site safety checks and report hazards promptly.
  • Support compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure staff complete required training and follow safe systems of work.
  • Report accidents and incidents in line with company procedures.
  • Work with the Contract Manager to maintain high standards of compliance.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory role.
  • Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, standards and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to speak clearly and confidently
  • Ability to motivate and support teams.
  • Experience carrying out cleaning inspections and quality checks.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage priorities and to think on their feet to unexpected situations
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Have energy, enthusiasm, and great customer service
  • Champion the clients values by supporting in their delivery of exceptional guest experiences and helping create a welcoming, inclusive and inspiring environment for visitors and colleagues alike

Desirable

  • Experience working within a Visitor Attraction
  • BICSc qualification(s).
  • IOSH Working Safely or similar Health & Safety qualification.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding requirements

Requirements:

  • The successful applicants will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
