**Boeing Defense, Space \& Security (BDS)** has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Quality Engineering and Program Manager** to join our dynamic team in **New Orleans, LA for the Space Launch System program.**

**Position Responsibilities:**

* Serves as a member of both the SLS program leadership team and Space, Intelligence and Weapon Systems Total Quality leadership team * Responsible for all aspects of Quality on the SLS program from design through launch * Manages employees and mid\-level managers performing quality engineering and quality assurance on the SLS program through all phases of the product lifecycle * Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of SLS program/business plans * Provides education and coaching on the Quality System * Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements * Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports * Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility * Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid\-level managers within an inclusive and collaborative environment * Ability to understand the big picture and inter\-relationships of functions * Ability to effectively communicate current state performance to plans for executive consumption

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Michoud Assembly Facility (MAF) in New Orleans, LA.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**

* Bachelor’s degree or higher * 3\+ years of experience implementing and/or maintaining a quality management system * Experience working in a cross functional environment * Experience with Communication, both written and verbal, with a comfort in public speaking and frequent interactions with executive\-level management.

**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**

* Prior Quality Management Experience * Direct experience performing in quality engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, system engineering, or change management * Solid working knowledge of Quality Tools (APQP, Early Quality Involvement, RCCA) * Surveillance and Compliance Audits * Experience building internal and external customer relationships

**Travel:**

Position may require travel up to 10\-15% of the time.

Summary pay range: $183,600\-$248,400
