White Plains, NY · Full-time · $90,000–$120,000 base salary · $110,000–$160,000+ total compensation potential

For over 50 years, family-owned and operated Bowerman Cleaning & Restoration has handled water damage, fire and smoke, mold remediation, sewage, asbestos, and lead-safe renovation and cleanup for homeowners, property managers, and commercial clients across Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, New York City, Fairfield County, CT, and northern New Jersey. In New York, we also handle lead abatement.

We're an IICRC Certified Firm with 300+ Google reviews, and we're growing fast: more trucks, more property management accounts, and AI tools built into how we work.

THE ROLE

We're looking for a hands-on Restoration Operations Manager to keep the field side of the business running to our standards.

You'll work alongside our project managers and crews, enforce our systems, oversee day-to-day operations, and also run your own restoration projects as a PM.

This position includes multiple opportunities to earn beyond base salary, including commission on projects you personally manage, sales commissions on new jobs or accounts you bring into the company, and additional performance-based bonuses.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Keep day-to-day field operations on track: crews, equipment, scheduling, and job progress
  • Run your own jobs as PM: inspect, scope, estimate, and manage projects through completion
  • Write Xactimate and T&M estimates, measure with DocuSketch, and review estimates before they go out
  • Work with adjusters, property managers, and homeowners on scope, approvals, and payment
  • Hold every job to our documentation, safety, profitability, and customer-service standards
  • Help develop and improve operational systems as the company continues to grow
  • Take your turn in the after-hours emergency phone rotation

COMPENSATION & EARNING OPPORTUNITY

Base Salary: $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience, certifications, and capabilities.

Expected total compensation potential: $110,000–$160,000+, depending on project volume, performance, and business generated.

Additional earning opportunities include:

  • Project Management Commission: Earn additional compensation on qualifying restoration jobs you personally manage as PM
  • Sales Commission: Earn commission on new restoration jobs, referral relationships, property management accounts, commercial accounts, and other business you personally bring into the company
  • Performance Bonuses: Additional bonus opportunities tied to company, operational, and individual performance

There is meaningful upside for someone who can both run strong operations and help grow the business.

IN YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS, YOU'LL MAKE SURE

  • Every restoration lead gets a PM response within 15 minutes
  • No crew mobilizes without a signed work authorization and deposit
  • Every job is documented with photos, video, and moisture readings, uploaded daily and reviewed nightly
  • Estimates go out within 48 hours of inspection
  • Job costing is set up and running on every job, with labor, equipment, and materials tracked daily
  • Every completed job is invoiced and collected

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 10+ years in disaster restoration preferred, including project management
  • Proficiency in Xactimate, DocuSketch, T&M estimates, and job costing
  • IICRC and/or RIA certifications (e.g., IICRC WRT, ASD, AMRT)
  • Current NYS DOL mold license (Mold Remediation Contractor preferred)
  • A track record of leading crews and holding jobs to a high standard
  • Strong understanding of restoration job profitability, documentation, and collections
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our commercial auto insurer
  • Able to work in attics, crawlspaces, and containment, including wearing a respirator

PLUSES

  • Bilingual English/Spanish — part of our field team works in Spanish
  • Commercial and large-loss experience; RIA WLS or CR designation
  • OSHA 30
  • Experience developing property management, commercial, insurance, or referral relationships
  • Uses AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT to speed up scopes, T&M documentation, reports, and operational workflows — and wants to help us roll out more

BENEFITS

  • Company vehicle and phone
  • 401(k) with 5% company match after one year
  • Two weeks paid time off after your introductory period
  • New York paid sick leave (40 hours a year) from day one
  • Commission and bonus opportunities beyond base salary

Bowerman Cleaning & Restoration is an equal opportunity employer.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k) 5% Match
  • Paid time off
