Brady Corporation is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a talented team of software engineers in our Applications Engineering team, responsible for customer-facing software customizations and applications as well as internal manufacturing and developer support software. The Software Engineering Manager will be successful in this position by leveraging their expertise in software design, project management, and mentorship to guide the team throughout the development process.
Requirements:
- Develop project requirements and resource plans to achieve market requirements for custom software solutions.
- Support existing customers and installations for custom software solutions to address defects and add new features identified by customers.
- Coach and mentor software engineers, including providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise and contribute to the design and development of software for custom software solutions and manufacturing support software.
- Participate in pull requests and code reviews to ensure architectural integrity and sound design principles throughout the codebase.
- Collaborate with desktop, mobile software, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and manage interdependencies.
- Work with manufacturing and test teams to define requirements for manufacturing / production support software.

What You Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering or software development in .NET/C#
- 2+ years in technical leadership, supervisory, or project management experience.
- Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with agile project management / work tracking software such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Experience driving generative AI adoption across teams through hands-on use cases, guidelines, and peer coaching.
Salary range: $123,000 - $177,500
