About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative Business Analyst to support business and technology initiatives across client organizations. The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between our clients' business stakeholders, IT teams, project leadership, and vendors to identify business needs, define requirements, analyze processes and data, and support the delivery of effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to understand business objectives, processes, and operational needs.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops, stakeholder meetings, and JAD sessions.
- Develop and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, use cases, and related documentation.
- Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into clear and actionable functional and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with IT, development, QA, project management, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support system implementations, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and ongoing application support.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and validation.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations regarding technologies, applications, processes, and business improvements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and support resolution of business, application, and system issues.
- Monitor vendor deliverables and collaborate with third-party providers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and executive stakeholders.
- Identify and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and impacts.
- Support continuous improvement and other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, IT, process improvement, project management, or a related field.
- Experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and business process analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred:
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, or data visualization.
- Experience with UAT, test planning, requirements validation, and defect resolution
- Working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Blueprint, or equivalent.
- Strong preference: State/local government, public-sector, healthcare, ERP, financial systems, or enterprise application experience.
- Experience with system implementations, integrations, or enterprise applications.
- Business analysis certification such as PMI-PBA or CBAP.

Employment Requirements

Pay: $72,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
