Role Objective
SCNJTek is seeking a Business Development Executive based in India to develop qualified business opportunities in the United States.
This is a sales-execution role. The BDE's primary responsibility is to identify the right U.S. companies and decision-makers, initiate conversations, qualify opportunities, and consistently generate meetings that can progress toward proposals, pilots, and revenue.
What SCNJTek Offers
SCNJTek works with manufacturing and engineering-intensive companies through:
- ThroughputOps – Manufacturing throughput, bottleneck, OEE, capacity and operational-performance improvement.
- DesignOps – Engineering and design productivity, standardization, design-rule and workflow improvement.
- ProjectOps – Capital-project execution, schedule, procurement, cost and project-risk improvement.
- Engineering & Manufacturing Services – Supporting U.S. customers with engineering, manufacturing and industrial execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Target Account Development
- Identify U.S. manufacturing, industrial, engineering and capital-project companies.
- Research plants, business units and relevant operational challenges.
- Build targeted account and prospect lists.
- Identify decision-makers such as VP Operations, Plant Managers, Manufacturing Directors, Engineering Leaders, Project Directors and business owners.
2. Outbound Business Development
- Conduct personalized outreach through LinkedIn, email and telephone.
- Follow up systematically with prospects.
- Use multiple touches rather than mass generic messaging.
- Secure introductory and discovery meetings.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects.
3. Opportunity Qualification
Understand whether the prospect has:
- A meaningful operational or engineering problem.
- A suitable use case for SCNJTek.
- Decision-making authority or access to it.
- Budget or commercial potential.
- A realistic timeline for action.
Move qualified opportunities to SCNJTek leadership for technical/commercial discussions.
4. Sales Pipeline Management
- Maintain CRM/prospect records.
- Track outreach, responses, meetings and opportunities.
- Follow up after meetings.
- Coordinate proposals and next steps with SCNJTek leadership.
- Provide a concise weekly pipeline report.
Expected KPIs
Performance will be measured primarily on commercial outcomes, not outreach volume alone.
Initial targets:
- 40–60 carefully selected new prospects/week.
- 15–20 meaningful prospect conversations/month.
- 6–10 qualified decision-maker meetings/month.
- 2–4 genuine commercial opportunities/month.
- Consistent progression toward proposals, pilots and contracts.
Quality of meetings will be more important than the absolute number of meetings.
Ideal Candidate
- 2–5 years of B2B business development or industrial sales experience.
- Experience selling to the United States market strongly preferred.
- Comfortable with telephone prospecting and direct decision-maker outreach.
- Experience with manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, SaaS or consulting is preferred.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Able to research companies rather than depend entirely on purchased databases.
- Comfortable speaking with senior U.S. executives.
- Commercially driven and comfortable being measured against pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Willing to work hours overlapping with U.S. time zones.
Important: What This Role Is Not
This is not primarily a digital-marketing, social-media, lead-list-building or LinkedIn connection-generation position.
The successful candidate must be able to convert research and outreach into actual conversations with U.S. decision-makers.
Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
Benefits:
- Cell phone reimbursement
- Flexible schedule
- Paid sick time
Work Location: In person
