Contract Manager
Job Description:
We're looking for a proactive and commercially minded Contracts Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of building services maintenance contracts, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong client relationships and commercial success.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced building services professional looking to progress their career within a supportive and growing business. During your induction, you'll work closely alongside an experienced Contract Manager and Assistant Contract Manager, gaining valuable insight into our systems, clients and ways of working.
You'll lead a dedicated engineering team, act as the primary contact for clients and play a key role in maintaining high service standards across your portfolio while driving performance and profitability.
Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager and Regional Director, you'll have the autonomy to manage your contracts while being supported by an experienced leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract & Client Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for allocated clients.
- Manage contract performance, profitability, KPIs and SLAs.
- Identify and manage contract variations and additional works opportunities.
- Support credit control and financial management activities.
- Manage CAFM systems and ensure contractual compliance.
- Work closely with Sales, Mobilisation and Helpdesk teams to support service delivery.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate and develop Engineers and Lead Engineers.
- Monitor team and contractor performance across allocated sites.
- Conduct site audits and performance reviews.
- Manage holidays, workload distribution and resource planning.
- Support recruitment activities and liaise with HR on people matters.
- Promote a positive team culture and high-performance environment.
Compliance & Performance:
- Ensure compliance with all company procedures, contract requirements and health & safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to engineering teams where required.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of service delivery.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing building services maintenance contracts.
- Mechanical and/or electrical building services background.
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of contract P&L performance.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Sound technical knowledge of building services and M&E maintenance.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Client-focused with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
- Good understanding of health & safety legislation and best practice.
